The Towers of Gunfondle have fallen but the mighty flying fleets of the Fondlegun Doomfarers still rule the skies. Can a raw recruit defeat their foul enemies?
From the sharpshooting imagination of legendary fantasy author Colt Barrel, comes this exciting return to the land of black powder and fragile egos.
So the final book in the trilogy should be (harkening back to the cliched cry of “a good guy with a gun”) The Good Guys of Gunfondle? With extra alliterative righteousness!
Hey, this is a SAGA, not a mere trilogy. That’s a good idea for the next title, but if Colt Barrel puts out another rip-roaring potboiler, it could continue. Like books that seem to finish up at the 3rd one, but then there’s the new saga, the next generation, the prequels, the spin-offs, the cartoons, the comic books, or just continuing on even when the author’s gone and someone else takes up the SAGA like Wheel of Time….
(*cough* looking at you, too, Lucasfilm.)
That title does seem a bit unfair to Brian Daley, who by all accounts was not a gunfondler of any type. Even his milSF was about folk trying to avoid wars, much like Haldeman he was shaped by his experiences in Vietnam.

I like that a Passing Stranger came up with a pseudo-western idea. Yup.
