What people don’t realise is that I tried to embellish the joke by misspelling ‘patrol’ as well and I genuinely misspelt the mispelling (I was trying to write Patorl)

Actually, on reflection, the character shown is called Tyop Patorl and they are the mascot of the Tyop Patrol.

FWIW, in Swedish, mis-spelled words (especially in print-like) are blamed on “tryckfelsnisse” (printing mistake gnome). So, clearly, a Typo Patrol also needs at LEAST one gnome-catching net, to catch the dastardly msipirnting gnome(s),
