  1. Did he send you an angry e-mail denouncing you for insulting him via twitter and claiming he was going to file a complaint with your employer?

Because he sent one like that to me.

    1. Sorry you’re going through another round of this crap, Aaron. What is it with these people and threatening to denounce their critics to their employers?

      1. It’s a case of pre-emptive projection. It’s what they fear the most, so it’s their default ‘defensive’ reaction when they encounter someone whose existence annoys them.

      2. I think Jessica has it mostly right. The Scrappy Pups conceive the world as one in which everyone is always frightened that if they speak up, the powers that be will crush them.

I recall seeing a recent exchange in which JDA was talking about how he has had great interactions with some other authors (as a defense to the claim that he has harassed people online), and cited Jennifer Brozek as one of them, talking about how much he loved her and his work. When someone pointed out that Brozek had JDA blocked on social media and had a very different account of their interaction, JDA brushed that off by saying that she was just making that up because she was afraid of some sort of secret cabal that would tank her career if she told “the truth”.

The Scrappy Pups are conspiracy theorists at their core, and as a result, they believe in a conspiracy theory-based version of how the world works. Their belief that everyone lives in fear of their employer is just part of that set of delusions.

      1. I did send a reply pointing out that Antonelli had already tried that, and explained that it didn’t work and just made Antonelli look like more of an asshole.

      1. Maybe I should join Twitter just to make him waste time and effort to block me.

        Nah. He’s not worth it.

Cam, so you’re saying their Twitter feed shows the same progress as their web page, overall organizational skills, etc?
