Review: Semiprozine Round Up – Apex Magazine

More on Semiprozines – working my way through.https://camestrosfelapton.wordpress.com/2015/10/25/looking-at-semiprozines/

In the vast space of potential SF related names for magazines, we are onto the second one with ‘Apex’ in the name. Not be confused with Abyss & Apex which I reviewed earlier. Apex is edgier but also has a mix of stories, non-fiction and poetry.

Current issue here http://www.apex-magazine.com/issue-78-november-2015/ with some stories available free on the web, with more of the magazine released each week for non-subscribers.

It has a good track record of stories including Jackalope Wives (a story used as a benchmark here for judging the Hugo nominations). I wasn’t too impressed with Blood on Beacon Hill which is currently available from the latest issue without subscription.
